According to the CDC, drug overdose deaths from taking some type of opioid kills more than 1,500 Americans per week. With the proliferation of fentanyl in our communities the possibility of an opioid overdose at your business is higher than you may think. According to the National Safety Council, overdose deaths are over 9% of all occupational injury deaths. Steven Cagle from the LA County Department of Public Health will explain the current crisis, the challenges our communities are facing as well as how to identify a possible opioid overdose and how to best respond to save that person’s life.

Steven Cagle is a certified substance abuse counselor and grief counselor who works for the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, contracted through Substance Abuse Prevention and Control.
He has been working in the field for 16 years and loves facilitating groups, educating the public about fentanyl awareness, and substance use prevention.
Videoconference information will be provided in an email once payment is received.
